When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that the petitioner's daughter is entitled for dependant freedom fighters pension. Therefore, appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition permitting the petitioner's daughter to submit an application seeking dependant freedom fighters pension and also directing the respondents to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner's daughter to submit an application before the respondents seeking dependant freedom fighters pension within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereupon, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within eight weeks thereafter. No order as to costs.
