THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.31377 of 2018 O R D E R:

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he made representations, dated 10.07.2018 and 23.07.2018, seeking mutation of his name in the revenue records as successor-in-interest in respect of land admeasuring Acs.6.00 in Survey No.18/a2 of Nagaram Revenue Mandal and Gram Panchayat, Suryapet, Nalgonda District, the respondents have not taken any action so far. Hence, he seeks a Writ of Mandamus.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue submits that there is a specific procedure contemplated under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act (for short 'the Act') and the Rules made thereunder for considering the representations with respect to the entries in the revenue records as successor-in-interest.

In view of the above submission and as on date, the petitioner has not made any application as prescribed under the Act and the Rules made thereunder, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to make an appropriate application in terms of the Act and the Rules made thereunder and on such application being made, the respondents shall consider the same, in accordance with law.
