THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE N. BALAYOGI WRI T PETI TI ON No.7799 of 2017 ORDER: (Per Justice Sanjay Kumar) The petitioner is the applicant in O.A.No.6810 of 2012 on the file of the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad, which was dismissed vide order dated 09.06.2015. The prayer of the petitioner before the Tribunal was to declare the action of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in not considering her candidature under BC-E (Women) category for appointment to the post of Junior Lecturer in Civics as illegal.

It is an admitted fact that pursuant to the notification issued by the APPSC in the year 2008, the petitioner submitted her application wherein she did not state that she belonged to BC-E community and that she was applying for the post under the said reservation category. It appears that the petitioner thereafter sought to place on record documents in proof of her being a member of BC-E community. However, once she did not aspire for the post under the reservation category at the very outset by mentioning the same in her application form, the petitioner can have no grievance with the action of the authorities in treating her as a candidate under Open Category. We therefore find no error in the order passed by the Tribunal holding to this effect.

The writ petition is devoid of merit and is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
