The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondent No.2 in acting upon the communication in Rc.No.124/2017-A dated 20.07.2017 submitted by respondent No.4 for deletion of the land in an extent of Ac.1.22 cents out of Ac.10.72 cents in Sy.No.416 of Edlapadu village fields, Edlapadu Mandal, Guntur District, from the prohibitory lands list, as arbitrary, illegal and consequently direct the respondent No.2 to delete the said land from the prohibitory lands list. 2) As the material on record shows that it is a land falling under the list of prohibitory lands under Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908 the request of the petitioner seeking a direction for deletion of the same from the prohibitory lands list, cannot be accepted. However, the petitioner shall make an application before the concerned Authorities in accordance with law, in which event, the same shall be dealt with in terms of the G.O.Ms.No.300 dated 05.07.2016.

3) With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. ___________________ C. PRAVEEN KUMAR, J Date: 30.08.2018 GM
