ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A2 to A5 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.83 of 2016 of Nampally Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Section 420 IPC and under Section 3(1)(x) of SCs & STs (POA) Act, 1881, against them.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that the de facto complainant, who is a divorcee, got married A1 and after one year, A1, at the instigation of A2 to A5, used to harass her mentally and physically by beating and abusing her in filthy language in the name of her caste. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.

3. Since there are serious allegations in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the police concerned are directed to complete the investigation without arresting petitioners/A2 to A5 and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law.

The petitioners/A2 to A5 are directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed. _______________ RAJA ELANGO, J 28th April, 2016 sj
