THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.1251 of 2016

ORDER

This criminal petition under sections 437 and 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is filed by the petitioners-A1 to A3 seeking to grant bail in connection with Cr.No.147 of 2015 of Arakuvalley Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of NDPS Act.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. It is alleged that on 03.12.2015 at 6.00 PM., on information, the police officials went to Chompi Junction main road, Arakuvalley and found the accused in possession of 60 Kgs of ganja transporting the same in a silver colour car illegally.

4. The petitioners are in judicial custody since 03.12.2015. Since the contraband seized from the possession of the accused is a commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to them. 5.
