THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.515 OF 2014 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners-accused Nos.2 to 5 under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against them in Crime No.217 of 2013 on the file of Podili Police Station, Prakasam District.

When this matter has come up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Admittedly, the order of stay was not in subsistence. The above crime pertains to the year 2013. In the circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief in this petition. If the investigation is pending, the respondent-police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioners and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioners are also directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
