Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "... this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to declare the action of the Respondents in not arresting the accused in Crime No.97/ 2014 of P S Velpur as illegal, arbitrary, violative of Article 14 of Constitution of India by issuing appropriate writ order or direction more particularly in the nature of Mandamus and consequently direct the Respondents to apprehend the accused in Crime No.97/ 2014 of P.S.Velpur of Nizamabad District in accordance with law and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit just and proper in the circumstances of the case."

The learned Government Pleader, during the course of hearing, brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the registration of Cr.No.97 of 2014, the investigation was completed and a charge sheet was filed before the concerned Court. After taking cognizance of the offence, the same was taken on file as S.C.No.5 of 2015. After full-fledged trial, the matter ended in acquittal by the judgment dated 27.09.2018.

In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition and the same is liable to be closed.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. As a sequel thereto, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
