According to the petitioner, his vendor had purchased the property i.e., premises bearing Municipal No.13-1-19, corresponding to old No.13-8 (8-4), situated at Palvoncha Town and Mandal, Khammam District, in an auction conducted by the District Collector, Khammam, and confirmed on 11.02.2002. The Government of Andhra Pradesh also issued certificate of sale in favour of the vendor of the petitioner on 27.06.2003. The petitioner has purchased the said property from his vendor by way of a registered sale deed, dated 11.08.2014. Consequent to the said purchase, the petitioner was put in possession and he has been in enjoyment of the said property. While so, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 21.08.

2014, to the Commissioner, Palvoncha Municipality, Khammam District, requesting him to mutate his name in the municipal records in respect of the said property, but, so far, no action is taken and the second respondent - Municipality is deliberately and willfully delaying the mutation of the name of the petitioner in the municipal records. Hence, he filed the present writ petition.

As stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent - Municipality, the representation of the petitioner, which was submitted on 21.08.2014 for mutation of his name in the municipal records, is pending consideration and so far no orders are passed thereon. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is

disposed of directing the second respondent - Municipality to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.08.2014, for mutation of his name in the municipal records in terms thereof and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
