THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.1376 OF 2016

O R D E R

This contempt case was instituted alleging wilful disobedience to the order dated 09.03.2016 passed in W.P.No.4914 of 2016. By the said order, the Commissioner, Transport Department, Khairatabad, Hyderabad, was directed to consider the petitioner's letter dated 06.11.2015 and take appropriate action thereon in accordance with law. Sri Rastrapal, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Transport, State of Telangana, would inform this Court that the petitioner's letter dated 06.11.2015 had been duly considered by the Commissioner as directed. A copy of the proceedings dated 28.09.2016 passed by the Transport Commissioner, Telangana, Hyderabad, is produced in proof thereof.

Perusal of the said proceedings reflects that the Deputy Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Ranga Reddy District, was requested to take necessary action after causing an enquiry into the genuineness of the signatures of the petitioner, the first owner of the vehicle bearing Registration No.AP 05 V 7489. In the light of the aforestated proceedings, it is clear that the Commissioner duly acted upon the order passed by this Court and there is no default, much less wilful default, warranting invocation of the contempt jurisdiction of this Court.
