ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 5th respondent-Project Director in issuing the proceedings No.ATMA/289/2014, dated 22.05.2015 as arbitrary and illegal and consequently to set aside the same and continue the petitioner to work as Block Technology Manager, Jangaon, Warangal District. Heard Sri Kolisetty Koushal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Agriculture.

It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as Block Technology Manager by the 2nd respondent on 3.7.2012 and one of the conditions in the appointment order is that the contract of Block Technology will be continued until further orders subject to performance and continuation of scheme or it may be terminated. The petitioner has been discharging his duties as Block Technology Manager without any complaint. While so, the respondents have terminated the services of the petitioner with effect from 22.05.2015, without assigning any reasons, or issuing any notice as contemplated in the appointment order.

As per ATMA Guidelines, 2014, there was a change in policy, and the persons below 45 years were only to be appointed as Block Technology Managers. Since the petitioner was aged 63 years, he could not be appointed and continued even after attaining the age of 60 years, which necessitated the respondents to terminate his services. This Court finds no illegality in issuing the impugned proceedings and the writ petition is devoid of merits Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
