Heard.
The petitioner is a proprietor of M/s.Sri Sai Varalakshmi Agro Foods and running business of processing paddy into rice. The petitioner has been running mill after getting approval from the Gram Pancahayat and providing Service Connection by the A.P.E.P.D.C., Ltd., Visakhapatnam, and also under a licence issued to her. While so, the Civil Supply Authorities inspected the premises of the petitioner on 27-02-2015 and on finding some variation in the stock, launched 6-A proceedings against the petitioner. A show-cause notice was issued on 21-03-2015 and the petitioner submitted her explanation on 30-03-2015. In spite of the same, as the proceedings are not finalized, the present writ petition is filed. From the above facts, it is clear that a show-cause notice was issued to the petitioner on 21-03-2015, pursuant to the inspection on 27-02-2015 and the petitioner has submitted her explanation on 30-03-2015 itself and three months have already elapsed. By virtue of pendency of 6-A proceedings, the petitioner is facing hardship.
In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
