Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2.
This Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in trying to remove the trees existing in the lands of the petitioner situated in Sy.No.8/2 in an extent of Ac.2.07 cents of Gaddemadugu Village, G.Konduru Mandal, Krishna District, without following the prescribed procedure, as arbitrary and illegal.
The petitioner is the absolute owner and possessor of the land in an extent of Ac.2.07 cents in Sy.No.8/2 of Gaddamadugu Village, G.Konduru Mandal, Krishna District. The respondents have proposed to lay a 400 KV line by removing the trees, which are existing in the land of the petitioner.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are contemplating to remove the trees while laying the said 400 KV line without providing adequate compensation to him. He further submits that for assessing compensation, the value of the trees have to be estimated under a panchanama.
Having heard the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to conduct a panchanama assessing the value of the trees affected while laying 400 KV line and pay adequate compensation to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
