HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE SMT. JUSTICE T.RAJANI Writ Petition No.29193 of 2017 Order: (per V.Ramasubramanian, J.) The petitioner, who was aggrieved by the non-consideration of her case by the appropriate priority under the quota reserved for sports persons for admission to medical courses, has come up with the above writ petition challenging the method of preparation of the priority merit list for sports quota persons.

2. Heard Mr. R.Raghunandan, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent/University.

3. On 30-8-2017, we passed an interim order to the following effect:

"The case of the petitioner was considered under the Sports quota, at serial No.113, taking into account her participation in National School Games. Though the petitioner claims to have participated at the National level and the International level, the certificate of participation at the International level does not merit acceptance. Therefore, the petitioner should be considered at least as having participated at the National level and her priority should be reworked and considered for any seat remaining."

4. But today, it is reported that there were no seats remaining vacant under the sports quota and that therefore the petitioner could not be considered.

5. The cut-off date for admission is already over. Therefore, no relief can be granted to the petitioner for the

current academic year. The displacement of any other candidate already admitted, cannot take place in their absence.

Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
