THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.23251 of 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed seeking to declare the action of the seventh respondent in not registering FIR pursuant to the reports lodged by the petitioner on 26.11.2016 and 19.06.2017 respectively, as illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that pursuant to the report dated 26.11.2016 lodged by the petitioner, a case in crime No.749 of 2016 of Malkajgiri Police Station, was registered on 29.11.2016 against one Peddolla Laxma Reddy and three others, for the offences punishable under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. It is said that as many as seven witnesses were examined and the investigation is pending for collection of some documents. However, the allegation of petitioner lodging a report on 19.06.2017 is denied. In view of submission of the learned AGP that pursuant to the report lodged by the petitioner on 29.11.2016, a crime was registered and investigation is also going on, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

Hence, the Writ Petition is closed. Miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. No costs. ________________________ C. PRAVEEN KUMAR, J 19.07.2017 sur
