HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE B. VIJAYSEN REDDY WRIT PETITION No.43350 OF 2022 ORDER: (ORAL) This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents in opening rowdy sheet against the petitioner as he was involved in nine criminal cases. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for home. Perused the material on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that except Crime No.419 of 2016 of Pahadishareef Police Station, which is pending trial vide S.C.No.8795 of 2018 before Sessions Court, Ranga Reddy District, all other cases ended in acquittal. The same is admitted by respondent No.4 in his counter affidavit.

In view of the Judgment of erstwhile High Court of Andhra Pradesh in Umesh Singhaniya v.

The

Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad1, continuance of the rowdy sheet on the basis of one case is not sustainable. 5.

Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. Rowdy sheet opened against the petitioner shall stands closed forthwith. However, liberty is given to the police to open rowdy sheet against the petitioner if he is involved in more than two cases and conditions prescribed in Order No.601 of Telangana Police Manual are attracted.

Miscellaneous Applications, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
