HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 22583 of 2011 Order:
The petitioner, who claims to be a Crime Reporter, applied for grant of Arms Licence for his self protection. He submitted the application on 23.01.2009. When no information was received by him from the respondents he issued a reminder on 20.01.2010. He was asked to appear for personal interview by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad, by his letter dated 04.09.2010. Thereafter, his application was rejected on 19.10.2010 on the ground that the second respondent did not recommend for issuing the Arms Licence.
2. Though the present Writ Petition is filed raising various contentions, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case, as there is a provision for appeal against the impugned order of rejection dated 19.10.2010.
3. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, in the circumstances, no costs.
4. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
