THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION Nos.376 AND 2531 of 2009 COMMON ORDER:

These two writ petitions are being disposed of by this common order as the challenge made by the petitioners is one and the same. 2.

The petitioners filed these writ petitions challenging G.O.Ms.6, Industries & Commerce (Mines-I) Department, dated 07.01.2009, passed by the first respondent granting mining lease in favour of the sixth respondent for iron ore in respect of an extent of 38,461 hectares in unsurveyed hill block (USHB) of Mettupalli Village, Peapully Mandal, Kurnool District.

When the writ petitions are taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the sixth respondent did not quarry the mine and no transit permits are issued to him. They further submit that in view of the same, the petitioners are not interested to pursue the writ petitions.

Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the writ petitions are closed.

No order as to costs.
