THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 31568 of 2018 ORDER:

It is the grievance of the petitioners that as they are landless poor persons, their cases have been recommended by respondent No.5 - Village Revenue Officer, Koppolu Village, Ongole Rural Mandal, Prakasam District, on 07.07.2018, for grant of house site pattas, but, in spite of the same, respondent No.4 - Tahsildar, Ongole Rural Mandal, Prakasam District, is not taking any action.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents submits that eligibility or otherwise of the petitioners would be considered in terms of the Schemes evolved by the Government from time to time and that respondent No.5 is not empowered to recommend the cases of the petitioners for grant of house-site pattas, but, he may inform the authorities concerned as to the need and necessity to do so. He also submits that as and when the respondent authorities are considering the eligibility of the poor persons for grant of house-site pattas, the

CKR, J WP.No.31568 of 2018 cases of the petitioners would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent authorities that as and when they take steps for identifying the landless poor persons for grant of house-site pattas, the cases of the petitioners would be considered along with others, in accordance with law.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
