THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.15516 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.12.2015 for removal of rowdy sheet No.154 of 2014 on the file of 4th respondent.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The case of the petitioner is that he has not committed or abetted any commission of offence involving the breach of peace, disturbance to the Public Order and Security or any other acts attracting the other provisions of the Police Standing Orders so as to open rowdy sheet against him. Now, it is the main grievance of the petitioner that though he submitted a representation on 24.12.2015 to the 3rd respondent for discontinuing the rowdy sheet opened against him, so far no action has been taken.

In the counter affidavit, the 3rd respondent categorically asserted that the request of the petitioner would be reviewed and appropriate steps will be taken following the judgment of this Court in W.P.No.18142 of 2012 dated 24.08.2015.

In view of the assertion by the 3rd respondent, no orders are necessary and the writ petition is accordingly closed. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J 02.01.2017.
