HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.46836 of 2016 ORDER:

1.

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the 1st respondent-authority concerned to dispose of the appeal.

2.

It is the case of the petitioner that he was a license holder of Arms License and he applied for further renewal of his license before the District Magistrate and Collector, Khammam, under Section 15(3) of the Arms Act, and the learned District Magistrate and Collector rejected his application. Challenging the said rejection order, on 1.3.2013 the petitioner filed an appeal before the 1st respondent-authority concerned. But the said appeal has not been disposed of so far. Hence, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

3.

After arguing for some time, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction may be given for disposal of the said appeal. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the 1st respondent-authority concerned is directed to dispose of the appeal within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to produce all the relevant documents before the 1st respondent-authority concerned.

5.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________ RAJA ELANGO, J Date: 3rd January, 2017 Nn
