Dokkuluri Lakshmi Venkata Gowtham v. State Of Andhra Pradesh Rep. By Its Principal Secretary
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.14300 OF 2015 ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. The prayer sought for in the writ petition is as under: " to issue a Writ Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring the action of the respondents in insisting for production of certificate from the petitioner regarding social status at the time of entrance examination of A. P.
EAMCET-15 is arbitrary, illegal, unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondent authorities to receive the certificate regarding the social status of the petitioner before the counseling is taken up for allotment of seats in engineering course and allot seat as per rank obtained by the petitioner in SC category while making clear that the fifth respondent has to issue certificate of social status to the petitioner before the end of May without any postponement and the petitioner is entitled to be considered for a seat in SC category for admission into engineering courses for academic year 2015-2016."
From a perusal of the prayer, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive for adjudication in the writ petition since the relief sought for is to consider the case of the petitioner for admission into Engineering course for the academic year, 2015-2016 under SC category.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ P.KESHAVA RAO,J 27th NOVEMBER 2018.
