THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.31829 OF 2018 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Endowments appearing for the respondents.

According to the petitioner, Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple, Sekuru Village, Chebrole Mandal, Guntur District, is a registered institution under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 and is published under Section 6(c) of the Act and income of the institution is below Rs.2,00,000/- and she claims to be the member of the founder's family. Earlier, vide letter bearing Rc.No.A5/5144/14, dated 05.09.2014, the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Department, Guntur, pursuant to the report of the Inspector of Endowments Department, made a request to the Commissioner, Endowments Department, to issue necessary orders in regard to handing over the management of the two temples.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that though considerable time has lapsed, since the date of the said recommendation, no action has been taken so far on the same by the Office of the Commissioner of Endowments/R.1. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Endowments and taking into account the submissions of either side, this Court deems it

appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to take appropriate action.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent herein to take appropriate action/pass appropriate orders pursuant to the letter bearing Rc.No.A5/5144/14, dated 05.09.2014, of the Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Department, Guntur, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as per law. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
