ORAL ORDER:

This writ petition is filed questioning the action of respondents in not releasing the retirement benefits to the petitioner in spite of directions of the second and fourth respondents dated 11.8.2017 and 30.8.2017 as illegal.

On 11.8.2017 from the office of the Managing Director of respondent corporation, proceedings are issued to Regional Manager, Prakasam region at Ongole directing for settlement of retirement benefits to petitioner, except gratuity. Consequent orders are issued by the Regional Manager on 30.8.2017 directing the Depot Manager to comply with the orders of the Head Office. Alleging inaction, this writ petition is filed.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned standing counsel for respondent corporation. Both counsel agreed for disposal at the stage of admission, directing the Depot Manager-3rd respondent to take consequential steps in accordance with law for compliance of the orders of Head Office dated 11.8.2017 and Regional Manager dated 30.8.2017.

In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent-Depot Manager to take consequential steps to release the retirement benefits to the petitioner, except gratuity, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
