ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/A2 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.79 of 2016 of Jagityal Town Police Station, Karimnagar District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 468 IPC, against him. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/A2 and learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.

3. It is alleged in the complaint that A1 had availed the finance assistance for marriage of his sister under the scheme of 'Shadi Mubarak' by tampering the nika nama page showing the year as 2015, thereby cheated the Government.

4. Initially, the name of the petitioner/A2 is not found in the FIR. However, in view of the allegations in the complaint, the matter requires thorough investigation.

Therefore, this Court is of the considered view that this is not a fit case to quash the impugned proceedings. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the police concerned are directed to proceed with the investigation without arresting the petitioner/A2. The petitioner/A2 is directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
