O R D E R

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 06.01.2016 passed in W.P.No.573 of 2016. By the said order, the police authorities were directed to take appropriate action upon the complaint dated 10.06.2014 of the writ petitioners in the light of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in LALI TA KUMARI V/ s. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH1.

The Station House Officer, CCC Naspur Police Station, Mancherial District, filed a counter-affidavit, stating that upon carrying out due enquiry into the contents of the complaint made by the petitioners, they were informed by way of letter dated 15.12.2016 sent by registered post that no ground was made out to initiate any criminal proceedings. No reply affidavit was filed rebutting the aforestated averments. In that view of the matter, this Court finds no cause to exercise contempt jurisdiction.
