THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.27075 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent Nos.1 and 2 in acting upon the request of the petitioners to accord permission and affiliation, as arbitrary and illegal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri A.Abhishek Reddy, the learned Standing Counsel for J.N.T.U., and the learned Government Pleader for Higher Education (Telangana).

3. A perusal of the record reveals that the second petitionerCollege has been granted approval from the Pharmacy Council of India on 15.07.2016. The only grievance of the petitioners is that the first respondent has not granted affiliation to the second petitionerCollege for the academic year 2016-17. A perusal of the record further reveals that the second petitioner-College submitted a representation on 25.07.2016 requesting the first respondent to grant affiliation to it.

4. At the time of argument, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the first respondent may be directed to consider the representation of the second petitioner-College dated 25.07.2016. The learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent and the learned Government Pleader for the second respondent consented for the same.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions made by the learned counsel for both parties, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the second petitioner-College dated 25.07.2016 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

No costs.

7. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
