HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE B. SIVA SANKARA RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.6786 of 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner/ de facto complainant under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for speedy disposal of C.C.No.74 of 2016 on the file of the IV Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kakinada, East Godavari District, where taken cognizance for the offences punishable under Sections 354 and 506 I.P.C.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Public Prosecutor, representing the 1st respondent - State, before ordering notice to the 2nd respondent/ accused. This Court is not in a position to consider the request of the petitioner since the lower Courts are over-burdened for quick disposal of cases, which are more than five years old. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
