THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.31889 of 2018 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Transport.

The grievance of the petitioner, in the present Writ Petition, is that, despite filing an application, under Section 207

(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, before the Regional Transport Officer, Gudivada-second respondent herein, for release of the subject vehicle, no action has been taken so far. On the other hand it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader that, if any such application is pending before the second respondent, the same will be verified and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with law. Recording the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to verify the application, said to have been submitted by the petitioner herein, and take appropriate action/pass appropriate orders, strictly in accordance with law, subject to producing all the relevant documents, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
