THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO. 15896 of 2013 ORDER :

Heard both sides.

2.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents-police in not conducting investigation in Crimes registered in Madhapur and Abids Road Police stations vide Crime Nos.541 of 2012 and 337 of 2012 respectively, as illegal and arbitrary.

3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though the said two crimes were registered pursuant to the report lodged by the petitioner, the respondents failed to conduct and complete investigation, inspite of repeated persuasions and co-operation being extended by the petitioner. Hence, the present writ petition came to be filed.

4.

Learned Government Pleader would submit that if the investigation is still pending, the police may be directed to file a final report, at the earliest. 5.

Having regard to the submission made across the Bar, if investigation is not completed and no final report is filed, the respondents shall complete the investigation in Crime Nos.541 of 2012 and 337 of 2012 of Madhapur Police Station and Abids Road Police Station respectively and file a final report, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. 6.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
