Heard Mr.G.Chandrasekhara Rao for petitioner. Plaintiff is the revision petitioner. He filed the suit for recovery of money based on two documents i.e., receipts dated 30.10.2008 and 05.11.2009. At the time of marking the documents, an objection was taken. The objection is that they are not receipts but are bonds. The learned trial Judge through order dated 20.11.2012 considered the objection. Hence, the revision.

The issue arises under the Indian Stamp Act. I have perused the record. The trial Court has passed order to the effect that the suit documents referred above are bonds within the meaning of Section 2(5) of the Indian Stamp Act and are liable to stamp duty. This Court is in agreement with the reasons recorded by the trial Court. No ground warranting interference under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is made out.

Revision fails and is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
