This petition is filed seeking for quash of the proceedings against the petitioner in Crime No.296 of 2011 on the file of Narsingi Police Station, Cyberabad District. The offences alleged are under Section 306 IPC.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent. None appears for the 2nd respondent in spite of notice.

The allegations made in the complaint are that one sumith had love affair with the deceased, who committed suicide, and that this petitioner, who is the friend of A1, is also responsible for the death of the deceased. But the complaint does not disclose as to how this petitioner is responsible for the death of the deceased. Moreover, the complaint shows that when the complainant and others went to the house of A1, apart from refusing to marry the deceased, have abused them. But the name of this petitioner with regard to the incident on 11.09.2011 is not mentioned in the complaint. Even the statements of the witnesses also does not show that any specific allegations are made against this petitioner, except stating that he is also responsible for the death of the deceased.

Hence, in view of the above, this court opines that it is a fit case for quashing the proceedings against the petitioner.

With the above observations, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the further proceedings in Crime No.296 of 2011 on the file of Narsingi Police Station, Cyberabad District, are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
