THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY WRIT PETITION NO.13941 OF 2016 ORDER: {Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} This Writ Petition is preferred against the notice dated 15.12.2015 calling upon the petitioner to show cause why the consignment of crackers should not be confiscated in terms of Section 43(5) of the A.P. VAT Act.

Mr. Shaik Jeelani Basha, learned Special Standing Counsel for Commercial Taxes, would submit that an order of confiscation was passed on 08.03.2016 even before the Writ Petition was filed and that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive. Sri D.Kodanda Rami Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks liberty to question the order of confiscation. Granting liberty as sought for, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand dismissed. ______________________________ (RAMESH RANGANATHAN, J) ___________________________________ (M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY, J) 2nd June 2016 RRB
