HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WP No.32041 of 2018 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed declaring the inaction of the respondents in providing Police protection to the petitionersociety and its members with regard to the conduct of elections on the date of filing nominations as also on the date of election.

It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that that filing of nominations as also conduct of elections to the petitioner society could not take place because of the disturbance caused by some of the members of the society including two office bearers of the petitioener-society.

Petitioner's counsel states that seeking to provide Police protection, the petitioner earlier made a representation to the 2nd respondent, but necessary Police protection was not extended because of which filing of nominations and the consequent election could not be conducted.

Heard learned Asst. Government Pleader for Home. 4.

In the circumstances, it is open for the petitioner to make a fresh representation notifying the date of filing nominations

as also the date of election to the petitioner-society to the 3rd respondent and on such a representation being filed by the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is directed to take action on the said representation having regard to the fact that the petitioner-society consists of 1200 members and in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions if any pending shall stand disposed of.
