This Contempt Case is filed alleging violation of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.No.12407 of 2017 dated 07.04.2017, wherein this Court ordered to maintain status quo obtaining as on that day.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents submits that the main writ petition itself was disposed of on 06.06.2017 directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that though the main writ petition is disposed of, still this Contempt Case survives as the representations of the petitioners were not yet disposed of. Since the main writ petition itself is disposed of, interim order merges into final order and nothing survives in this Contempt Case. Accordingly, this Contempt Case is dismissed. However, it is open for the petitioners to take steps if the order dated 06.06.2017 in W.P.No.12407 of 2017 is not complied with.
