This contempt case is filed alleging wilful disobedience of interim order dt.02.01.2014 in W.P. No.39377 of 2013. At the hearing, Mr. K. Surender Raj, representing Mr. V. Jagapathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that pending the contempt case the main writ petition itself in which interim order dt.02.1.2014 was passed, out of which the present contempt case arises, has been disposed of and that therefore the grievance raised in the contempt case does not survive for adjudication. In view of the same, the contempt case is closed. As a sequel to disposal of the contempt case, Application No.736 of 2016 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
