Since the issue raised in both the writ petitions is one and same, both the writ petitions are heard together and disposed of by this common order.

These two writ petitions are filed seeking a writ of mandamus to declare the Memo No.5557/K3/2015 dated 21.12.2015 issued by 2nd respondent, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice. A consequential direction is also sought to restrain the subordinate Officers of the 2nd respondent from taking any action, in pursuance of dharna conducted on 18.12.2015 at Vijayawada. 3.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Women and Child Welfare Department appearing for the respondents.

It is contended by the petitioners that they are working as Anganwadi Workers at various centers. As there is high rise in the prices, they made demands for enhancement of monthly remuneration. In this regard, though a sub-committee was held by the State Government on 16.12.2015, no decision has been taken with regard to enhancement of monthly remuneration. As they are not able to meet their basic needs and it is very difficult to sustain with meager remuneration, they participated in a dharna organized by their

Association at Vijayawada on 18.12.2015, but the 2nd respondent issued a Memo No.5557/K3/2015 dated 21.12.2015 requesting all the Project Directors, DW & CDA in the State, to place the name-wise details of AWWs/AWHs who participated in the Dharna on 18.12.2015 before the District Collectors concerned for removing them from service. Aggrieved thereby, the present writ petition is filed.

As no interim order was passed by this Court, the status of the petitioners as on today as to whether they are working as Anganwadi Workers or not, is not made clear by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. However, it has been contended by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are working as Anganwadi Workers/Helpers since 1989 and they had submitted a representation to the respondent Nos.1 and 2, but the same is still pending consideration.

This Court having considered the submissions made by the parties is of the considered view that without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders thereon.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 29.12.2015 and pass orders thereon within a period of eight (8)

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Court. However, it is made clear that if the said representation is not available with the respondents, the petitioners are at liberty to submit a fresh representation within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
