HON'BLE SMT. JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI WRIT PETITION No.44398 of 2022 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "... to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring action of respondents No.5 and 8 in trying to release power connection and not taking any action against unauthorized construction by 9th respondent and now seeking to mutate name and allot house number to 9th respondent in spite of petitioner representation dated 24.11.2022 as illegal, arbitrary and against to principles of natural justice and provisions of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 and consequently direct respondents No.5 and to take action on petitioner representation dated 24.11.2022......."

Sri R.R.Kalyan, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that when the unofficial respondent, being a non-tribal, is making construction without obtaining the permission from the Gram Panchayat, the petitioner made an application to the respondents on 24.11.2022 seeking not to issue power supply. According to the petitioner, the said representation is not considered by the respondents.

Learned Standing Counsel submits after receiving the representation, the District Panchayat Officer has addressed a letter dated 12.12.2022 to the Panchayat Secretary to consider the same and to submit a report. It is nowhere mentioned in the affidavit that the petitioner is personally affected by any of the action or inaction of the respondents. The petitioner has filed this petition

more on the public interest.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy available her under law. No order as to costs.
