Vide present petition, the petitioner seeks a direction, thereby to enlarge him on bail in Cr.No.3 of 2016-17 of Prohibition & Excise PS, Rajamahendravaram (North), East Godavari District, registered for the offences under Section 8(C) read with 20(b)(i) of the NDPS Act, 1985. Keeping in view of the huge quantity of ganja recovered i.e., 150 kgs. from the petitioner, Section 37 of the NDPS Act comes into play. Hence, I find no grounds to enlarge the petitioners on bail when the investigation is still pending.
