THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.8436 OF 2017 ORDER:

Notification dated 08.02.2017 was issued by the 2nd respondent to fill up the post of Anganwadi Karyakartha (Anganwadi Worker). The petitioner responded to the said notification. According to the petitioner, she is more qualified than seven candidates, who responded to the notification. While so, the petitioner apprehends that selection is not going to be conducted in accordance with the procedure envisaged for making appointment and that unqualified persons would be selected and in such an event, great prejudice would be caused to her. 2.

What is alleged in the Writ Petition is only apprehension since so far selections are not finalised. Therefore, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed as it is premature. 3.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. However, it is needless to observe that the selection to the post of Anganwadi Worker has to be conducted strictly in accordance with the procedure envisaged for appointment and should not deviate from the procedure giving scope for allegations of illegal and improper selection. Thus, the respondents are directed to follow transparent procedure of selection to make appointment to the post of Anganwadi Worker pursuant to the notification, dated 08.02.2017. If the petitioner is aggrieved by selection, it is open to her to avail appropriate remedy as available to her. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
