HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO ORDER:

Petitioner participated in the selections for the post of Junior Associate in pursuant to the recruitment notification dated 05.04.2016 and he was selected. After the selections, petitioner was referred to medical examination. In the medical examination, petitioner was declared as medically unfit. The same fact was informed to the petitioner vide proceedings dated 15.12.2016, impugned in this writ petition.

According to the learned counsel for petitioner, the reason for the rejection was that petitioner was suffering with 'colour blindness'.

Petitioner made representation on 19.12.2016 informing the competent authority that colour blindness cannot be a ground to declare him as medically unfit. He placed reliance on the decision of this Court in the case of G.Vijaya Kumar v. State Bank of India1.

However, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for petitioner submits that representation submitted is insufficient and he may be granted leave to submit a detailed representation and direction for consideration of such representation, would suffice the interest of the petitioner. Learned standing counsel has no objection for such course. 4.

Having regard to the said submission, writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to make a detailed representation ventilating his grievance and as and when such 1 AIR 1986 AP 353

representation is received, the respondents 1 and 2 shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
