In this Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner submits that his representation, dated 09.08.2018, is not considered and disposed of by the respondents. 2.
The afore-stated representation is given to the Superintendent of Police, Machilipatnam, Krishna District, requesting to accord permission for a procession on 21.09.2018, Friday, on the eve of 10th Moharram, from 10:30 AM, which proceeds from Sabeel-E-Sakeena Bintul Hussain (A,S) Tamarind Tree Centre on a straight route to Koneru Centre and its return from Koneru Centre through various places to the starting point by 01:00 PM.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that certain other requests of similar nature were considered by the police officers, but the petitioner's representation is kept pending.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 07.09.2018, a copy of which is placed on record, would submit that the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Machilipatnam, on 23.08.2018, submitted a detailed report to the Superintendent of Police, Machilipatnam, and that a copy of the same is filed with the written instructions before this Court and that basing on the same, the SubInspector of Police addressed letters on 05.09.2018 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Machilipatnam, and the Chairman, Waqf Board, Vijayawada, to convene a meeting with the Muslim leaders of both parties, as both parties are having differences and to prevent law and
order problem in the interest of public. Based on the written instructions, the learned Government Pleader would also submit that earlier one Sajjadia Welfare Society, Inagudurupet, Machilipatnam, approached this Court and filed W.P.No.34561 of 2015 and this Court, by an order, directed the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Machilipatnam, to consider and dispose of the representation; but, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer rejected the said request in view of the law & order and Communal problems.

The only request of the petitioner appears to be to direct the police officer concerned to consider and dispose of the representation, dated 09.08.2018.

Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Machilipatnam, to consider and dispose of the representation, dated 09.08.2018, of the petitioner in accordance with the procedure established by law as expeditiously as possible and in any event, before 05:00 PM on 18.09.2018 and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner by 05:00 PM on 19.09.2018.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
