ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A1 to A7 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.115 of 2015 of Allur Police Station, SPSR Nellore District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 144, 324, 149 IPC and under Section 3(1)(x) of SCs & STs (POA) Act, 1989, against them.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that on 15.10.2015 at 16.30 hours, all the accused attacked the de facto complainant and other villagers with sticks and iron rods and caused bleeding injuries and they also abused them in the name of their caste on the ground that they did not attend the cooli works at Amar Reddy as he was not paying money. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against A1 to A7.

3. Though the incident occurred in the month of October, 2015, the respondent-police has not taken any steps. In view of the serious allegations made in the complaint and also the nature of proceedings, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioners/A1 to A7 and file a final report, if any.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
