O R D E R

Petitioner was appointed as Record Assistant (un-aided) in the 5th respondent - School in the year 1997. He claims to be working till date. The post of Record Assistant was approved by the Regional Joint Director on 4.9.1997. According to the petitioner, post of Record Assistant (Aided) is vacant since 1.6.2010. His name was also recommended by the Deputy Educational Officer, Proddatur in his letter addressed to 1st respondent - District Educational Officer dated 11.1.2006. But so far the same is not extended.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, recently the Government has lifted the ban on appointments/promotions and the petitioner submitted representation on 6.2.2017 to absorb him in the grantin-aid post, but so far there is no response. Since the petitioner has already made a representation on 6.2.2017 for absorption in the aided post, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the District Collector - 6th respondent, to examine the claim of the petitioner, as ventilated in his representation dated 6.2.2017 and call for the report from the 1st respondent - District Educational Officer and forward the same to the 3rd respondent - Commissioner and Director of School Education within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and within a period of

two months thereafter, the Government shall take further steps with reference to grant of absorption to the petitioner. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
