ORDER:
The petitioners filed this writ petition feeling aggrieved by discontinuance of various pensions to them.
At the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners has not disputed that against the decision of the Gram Panchayat Pensions Committee, appeals lie to the Mandal Level Pensions Committee, of which the Mandal Parishad Development Officer is the Convenor. In my opinion, if the petitioners feel aggrieved by the exclusion of their names from the eligible pensioners list, they shall avail the remedy of appeal. Therefore, the petitioners are permitted to file such appeals before the Mandal Level Pensions Committee within one month from the date of receipt of this order. If such appeals are filed,
the Mandal Parishad Development Officer shall ensure that the appeals are disposed of within two months thereafter. Subject to the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, WP.M.P.No.858 of 2016 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
