THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE E. V. VENUGOPAL CRIMINAL PETITION No.1718 OF 2015 ORDER:

The present Criminal Petition is filed seeking to quash the impugned order made in Crl.M.P.No.319 of 2013 in M.C.No.18 of 2001 dated 03.O4 .2014 on the file of the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Wanaparthy 2.

No representation on behalf of the respondent. Heard Mr. P. Vinod Lal, learned counsel for the petitioner. I 3.

The brief facts of the case are that the Court below vide order 03.04.2014 in Crl.M.P.No.319 of 2011 in M.C.No.18 of 2001 enhanced the amount of maintenance from Rs.500/- to Rs.3,0OO/ per month payable by the petitioner to the respondent herein from the date of the order. Aggrieved by the same, the present Criminal Petition.

4.

A perusal of the record shows that the matter pertains to the year, 2015. Upon careful consideration of the entire material available on record and after hearing the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the maintenance awarded by the Court below is very meager and

a-.: r-:ii appropriate. Challenging such a meagre amount is not permissible at this stage as the cost of living standards of the people have escalated to a larger extent. Hence, I do not find any reason to interfere with the order passed by the Court below. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the Criminal Petition as the same is devoid of merits.

5.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if arry, sha1l starrd closed Sd/. C.PRAVEEN KUMAR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR //TRUE COPY// @ To, SECTION OFFICER 1 . The Judicial Magistrate of First Class Wanaparthy.
