ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "...to issue a writ or order, orders or directions more particularly one in the

nature of Writ of Mandamus - i) declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in issuing Notification No.01/J.S.(PER)/2013, dt.22-04-2013 without exempting the petitioners; who are land loosers/displaced persons, from appearing in taking part in 'Physical Efficiency Test' (PET) mentioned in the Clause-15 (A) (ii) (b) of the Notification No.01/J.S.(PER)/2013, dt.22-04-2013 as illegal, arbitrary; discriminative, non-application of mind and opposed to the 'doctrine of legitimate expectation' and also violative of Arts. 14 & 16 of the Constitution of India; and ii) consequently, direct the 3rd respondent to consider the candidatures of the petitioners to the posts of Security Guards/Firemen by exempting them in going through the 'Physical Efficiency Test' (PET) without reference to the Clause-15 (A) (ii) (b) of the Notification No. 01/J.

S, (PER)/2013, dt.22-04-2013." At the hearing, Sri Challa Ajay Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, requested for permission of the Court to withdraw the writ petition. He has also addressed a letter to the Registry to that effect. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, interim order, dated 27.08.2014, shall stand vacated and W.P.M.P.No.31125 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
