HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 25326 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioner, who is a student, appeared for A.P.Eamcet, 2015, conducted by the second respondent and secured rank of 2873. The said rank was obtained in Bi.P.C. making her eligible to take admission in medical and agricultural courses. She belongs to O.C. category and applied for admission in M.B.B.S. course but she could not secure the same. The petitioner did not apply for admission into Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc.). After failing to secure admission in M.B.B.S. course, she filed the present Writ Petition seeking a writ of mandamus to allow her to participate in the counseling to be held on 13.08.2015 and 14.08.2015.

The Writ Petition came up for admission on 11.08.2015 and adjourned to today in order to get instructions by the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents whether the petitioner can be permitted to appear for counseling even in the absence of application as she is willing to pay admission fee. Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the merit list of candidates, who are allowed to appear for counseling, was already displayed, and the petitioner cannot be accommodated, and be allowed to participate in counselling.

Since the petitioner did not apply for admission into B.V.Sc. course, this Court cannot extend the relief to the petitioner on sympathetic grounds.

The Writ Petition fails and is, accordingly, dismissed at the admission stage.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition

shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
