THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 14256 OF 2017 ORDER:

The Writ Petition is filed declaring inaction of respondents, in allotting 2B Bar Prior Clearance licence to the petitioners, as being illegal and arbitrary.

The grievance of the petitioners is that respondents are not allotting 2B Bar Prior Clearance licences to run Bar and Restaurant resulting in huge losses.

Learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise, on instructions, submits that the process of issuing licence has not yet been completed and, as on date, no decision has been taken. He, however, submits that the petitioners' cases would be considered in accordance with law.

Recording the submission of the learned Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent - authorities to consider the petitioners cases for grant of 2B Bar Prior Clearance licence within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall stand disposed of.
