In this petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., the petitioner-accused No. 1 seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 397 of 2013 on the file of the Court of Judicial I Class Magistrate at Vemulawada registered for the offences punishable under Sections 452, 448, 324 and 504 read with Section 109 of IPC.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor has produced the letter dated 07-07-2018 of Sub Inspector of Police, Vemulawada Police Station, Rajanna Sircilla District, and submitted that the case was compromised before Lok Adalat on 09-12-2017 and therefore, the petition, which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 397 of 2013, has become infructuous and hence, the same may be dismissed. 3.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence.
